A Safe Place to Protect Precious Futures
OUR COMMITMENT
Protecting all of our children is a sacred trust. We wouldn't open the doors of this school if we didn't believe we were providing the safest environment possible. Our mandatory trainings, background checks, protocols, facilities, are effective because each and every person is called to an integrated culture of safety. This helps us to be proactive, preventative, awareness and risk reduction focused. This can all be done while maintaining an joyful and peaceful atmosphere.

RESOURCES
Discipline, Freedom, and Success
Everyone from Socrates, great saints throughout time, and the leaders of nearly every great modern endeavor have famous quotes highlighting the inextricable relationship between discipline and freedom. By establishing clear rules and expectations within a school environment, students develop the self-discipline and virtues necessary to make responsible choices and ultimately achieve greater autonomy in their lives.
We try and see Christ in each student and want to model his love through our interactions with them. Love, as Christians understand, does not mean allowing someone to act in ways that are counter to their dignity or the dignity of others. As our 2025-26 year has begun, we are witnessing the fruits of our growing culture. We delight in seeing the growth that can spring from a positive and rightly ordered learning environment.

FACILITIES & PROFESSIONAL BEST PRACTICES
Major capitol investments have been made to ensure our students comfort, safety, and security here at Nativity. Here are some best-in-class capitol upgrades, protocols, personnel, and professional guidance we've benefitted from in recent years. This year we added two features unique among schools county-wide.
-
NEW FOR FALL 2025!: We currently employ properly trained and armed security officers who are outside of our school during all school hours. Given recent events, and having consulted with a variety of experts and in dialogue with our school families, this decision was carefully considered. This type of security has been sighted as the best deterrent, response, and coordination possible.

NEW FOR FALL 2025!: We have implemented the "Red Bag" protocols that have provided better training, communications, and safety measures in every single classroom. Learn more at RED BAG: make it safe to educate, https://getredbag.com/

54 strategically located cameras are being monitored and recording at all times. From our interior hallways, to the exterior campus, our School, Church, and I.T. offices can see nearly all corners of our facility at any moment.
-
We’ve “hardened the facility” by replacing glass doors with new steel security doors (’23), adding “3M security film” to all windows accessible form the ground, and entrances electronically controlled by administrative staff. Mandatory sign-ins and badging are required for even authorized visitors.
-
Our partnerships with Broomfield Police Department (who provide us a dedicated School Resource Officer) and the Broomfield Fire Department keep our various monthly drills up-to-date, help us monitor our fire readiness, and they even offer trainings in our classrooms.
-
Passed mold inspection: This Fall ('25) we had an external third party company test our school in various places for various types of mold. It was reported that our school is free from hurtful forms of mold.
-
We have 3 wall mounted Automated External Defibrillator's (AED's) alongside the first aide-kits and fire extinguishers around campus. Our school staff are CPR and AED certified!
-
Our wider parish community invested $800,000 in 2024 to update our HVAC, roofing, and other foundational structural items across the campus. Our preventative maintenance guidelines are meant to keep our parishioners and students comfortable for the foreseeable future.
