As the Catechism reminds us, “parents have the first responsibility for the education of their children” (CCC 2223). Therefore, at Nativity we encourage parents to participate and be involved in the daily life of the school. Whether as a classroom volunteer or through participation in the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) and the activities it sponsors, parents are expected to share their skills, interests, and time through our many volunteer opportunities and after-school programs and clubs.
To protect our students and their families, all parents, grandparents, coaches, and others who volunteer for school events must complete Safe Environment Training (SET) prior to beginning their activities by following the steps below:
Download and complete the Volunteer Authorization Form digitally, then print.
Read the Archdiocese of Denver Code of Conduct:
Print the Code of Conduct Acknowledgement Form. Complete all blank spaces, sign, and date.
Print the Volunteer Worker Hold Harmless Form. Complete all blank spaces, sign, and date.
Register for and attend one of the SET sessions at Nativity (listed at the bottom of these steps) OR at another location in the Archdiocese of Denver. For other locations, see this schedule.
