My name is Paige Barr, and I have been teaching at Nativity for more years than I’m willing to admit. This is my first year teaching fifth grade, and I love it because of the growth I get to see in the students’ skills and behavior over the course of the year. I also love that in a Catholic school I can talk about my faith and how God is present in all areas of the curriculum. I enjoy being able to pray with my students, as well as celebrating the Christmas, Advent, Lent, and Easter seasons with them. I am also part of the Nativity parish music ministry.
I moved to Broomfield when I was 13 years old, and I graduated from Broomfield High School. I went to the University of Northern Colorado and graduated with a degree in social science, as well as a teaching degree. I am married to my husband, Derek, who is an instructor for the St. John Vianney Seminary. We have five children, who have already attended or are currently attending Nativity. Someday I would like to be able to travel and see other countries. I especially would like to visit Rome since it plays such a central role in my faith.
I am very thankful that I get to be a part of the Nativity family.
