Mrs. Marianne Arling

Learning Specialist

My name is Marianne Arling, and I am the Learning Specialist at Nativity School.

I have a bachelor's degree in English literature from Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts and a master's degree in special education from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. I also have over twenty years of experience working with special needs students in public school systems. I have a tutoring program, The Marian School, that has been approved by the Colorado Department of Education as a recommended instructional program for students in reading, math, writing, and ESL instruction.

I am the wife of Deacon David Arling. We have been married for 39 years and have lived in Broomfield and been members of Nativity parish for ten years. Before coming to Broomfield, we lived in Pueblo, where we raised our family. We have three grown children and two grandchildren, ages three and four, who live near us and are a very special part of our lives. We love the Nativity community. It is a gift to be a part of such a vibrant, flourishing parish and community.

I attended Catholic school for all of my K-12 years, and I consider it a joyful privilege to be able to work in Nativity School where we incorporate prayer and Catholic instruction into our days. I look forward to meeting more of the wonderful Nativity community through the school.

I love teaching because it is a joy to watch children learn and grow.  Although I have taught students of all ages—kindergarten through adult—I especially enjoy working with the primary level children that I see now.  They are at such a sweet age.

My favorite Bible verse is “For God brings good of all things for those who love Him” because it keeps me going through all of the ups and downs of life.
